Christienne Linklater
Manager of Community Supports
Christienne’s passion for people as a natural helper and nurturer and her deep belief system around inclusion, belonging and equality have been the driving force behind the work she does. She states that Skills Society’s vision is perfectly aligned with some of her core values. Christienne began her time at Skills Society as a frontline outreach worker at the start of 2018 and is now in management. Christienne brings with her a wealth of experience working with marginalized populations facing a variety of challenges including developmental disabilities, addiction, homelessness, mental health issues and more. Christienne is adamant about using a non-judgmental, empathetic approach and always meeting people where they are at in their journey. She is always looking to embrace challenges and new opportunities to fuel growth and continuous learning. Christienne is a trainer for our Keeping People Safe from Abuse (KPS) training and is a member of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee. Christienne believes in using a strengths-based approach in her management style allowing every employee the opportunity to excel while being mentored. In her free time, Christienne continues with her passion and dedication to people and manages an addiction recovery support program, serves in her church, and spends time with her family serving in the inner-city community with food, clothing, and smiles.
