CommuniTEA Infusion Team Wins Premier Council Award

We are so proud of the CommuniTEA Infusion team! They were recently recognized as recipients of the Premier's Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities, Award of Excellence in Public Awareness! The annual Premier's Council Awards publicly acknowledge the efforts and accomplishments of individuals, groups, businesses, and organizations in developing barrier-free, inclusive communities in Alberta. The tea van team was recognized for their community building work that strives to break down barriers between people with and without disabilities and create more welcoming and inclusive community spaces.

Shout out to Emily and Jennifer, Community Builders, and Lisa, Tea Van Coordinator, who attended the event in person and accepted the award. And a big thank-you to everyone who was part of the project this year - citizens with disabilities who worked as Community Builders and community members who volunteered to drive the van to events - without you this initiative would not be possible!
