12:00 Noon to 2:00pm

101 Boyle St. Plaza Gym, 9538 - 103A Avenue

Skills Society will be hosting our 2nd Annual Day of Giving on December 14th.  This year we will be supporting the Edmonton Food Bank.   We are inviting all Skills stakeholders – staff, individuals, family members, friends of Skills to attend and purchase a small item to donate to the Food bank.

Each month, almost 20,000 people receive food hampers from Edmonton’s Food Bank.  The Food Bank also distributes food to more than 500,000 meals and snacks each month through more than 230 agencies, churches or food depots.  Approximately 40 percent of clients served are children under 18.

Some of the Food Bank’s most needed items include; beans with or without pork, canned meat, canned fish, canned fruit or vegetables, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese dinners, pasta and pasta sauce, cereal and oatmeal, school snack items such as juice boxes, fruit cups and granola bars , toiletries such as deodorant, shampoo and diapers.

Bring along your donation and enjoy some live music, hot beverages, and some sweets (lunch not provided), as well as the Mojo Photo Booth where you can pose and come away with a fun photo of yourself.
