Ardis Johnson

Training and Recruitment Coordinator

Ardis has worked in the care industry for 30 years. Having grown up in Southern Alberta, she ventured across the water and moved to Germany and the UK. Once in the UK, Ardis found her passion in life working in Mental Health and Learning Disabilities. She worked for the National Health Service and then eventually moved to work for a Non-Profit organization in England. The aim of the organization was to rehouse individuals from secure hospitals back into the community and set up the new services along with recruiting the team specific to work with the individuals.

Ardis is very passionate about making sure that individuals can lead full and meaningful lives. She has been able to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that services met the needs of the individuals and the standards of the government body that monitored community services.

Ardis returned to Canada in 2021 and joined Skills in 2022 where she had worked in Outreach and then became a Team Leader and is now working in training and recruitment.

Ardis loves spending time with family and friends and loves being out in fresh air and taking her dog for great walks. Loves camping and all sports and loves being able to travel and see the world.
