Skills Society 3rd Annual Day of Giving

On December 6th, citizens with disabilities, Skills Society staff & community members gathered to celebrate the magic of the season at Skills Society’s third Annual Day of Giving.  After last year's success, we chose to support the Edmonton Food Bank again.

This year's event included karaoke, dancing and back by popular demand, the Mojo photo booth! The spirit of giving and making connections was evident as people enjoyed music, food and catching up with each other.  We watched in delight as the donations under the tree grew, demonstrating the generosity and care that we all have for those in need.  As a human services provider, Skills Society understands and appreciates the work that the Edmonton Food Bank does to prevent hunger in our community.  We are pleased to have exceeded last year's donations by collecting 661 lbs of food and other needed items.

Thank you to the Real Canadian Superstore, Cobs Bread and Costco for supporting this event with donations of food and beverages and to all the people who came out to support our Annual Day of Giving and the Edmonton Food Bank.

Happy Holidays from all of us at Skills Society!
